Travis Washburn

I am a recent graduate from Brigham Young University's Master's of English program. My interests include rhetoric and composition, with a special focus in digital literacies and visual rhetoric. My thesis makes the argument that we ought to bring pathos—one of the pillars of rhetoric—back into academic rhetoric.

My favorite part of my master's, though, was teaching Freshman English and Advanced Writing. I have deeply invested into this, and it has been incredibly rewarding. I put a major emphasis on giving the students real-world leadership and team-work experience. You can read more about it on my Philosophy page.
